Motilal Oswal Alternatives, ChryCapital and Amicus Capital were awarded as among the top Private Equity investors in India during 2025 as part of Venture Intelligence APEX‘26 Private Equity & Venture Capital awards event in Mumbai. 

The Venture Intelligence “Awards for Private Equity Excellence” (APEX) is dedicated to celebrating the best that the Indian Private Equity & Venture Capital industry has to offer. The APEX Awardees are selected based on both Self Nomination by the participating PE-VC firms and “crowd sourced” voting from the Limited Partner, PE-VC and advisory communities. (The main criteria are Return Track Record, New Fund Raises & Follow-on Funding Rounds for Portfolio Companies)

PE Investor of the Year

Motilal Oswal Alternatives (MO Alts) received the Private Equity Investor of the Year 2025 Award on the back of 5 exits including packaged flour maker Ganesh Consumer (via pre-IPO deals and its IPO) and Secondary Sales in IPO bound medical devices company Molbio Diagnostics and NBFC IKF. MO Alts also made a Complete Exit from publicly listed AU Small Finance Bank during 2025 and a part sale in listed auto components company Happy Forgings. In addition, MO Alts made a $900 million second close of India Business Excellence Fund-V from IFC, offshore and domestic institutional investors, domestic public sector banks, life insurance companies, high networth individuals, etc. during the year.

PE Fund Raise of the Year

ChrysCapital received the PE Fund Raise of the Year 2025 Award on the back of closing a record USD 2.2 Billion Fund X – the largest fund raised by a home grown  private equity firm.

Amicus Capital received the Growth Capital Investor of the Year 2025 Award on the back of 3 exits generating MOICs between 4.41x and 2.24x including from specialty manufacturing company Aequs; NBFC Berar Finance and home appliances maker Wonderchef.
