The follow-up to the first season of startup funding-focused reality show Startup Singam, operated by Chennai-based Baanhem Ventures, has seen INR 20 crore being disbursed across 17 startups.

Startups that were successful in raising capital through Startup Singam Season 1 were Kaigal, Raptee EV, MangoPoint, Savemom, Unibose, Aeronero, The Mind and Company, Taxina Mobility, Goat Robotics, Chimertech, Palm Era Foods, Blinc Smart Homes, Polka Pop, YourTribe, Spaceman Craft and Ariro Toys. A few more disbursements are expected to be completed in the next few weeks.
The startups found favor with investors from family office firms like Zoho co-founder promoted Mudhal Partners, Navvug Global Ventures and Metis Family Office; seed capital firms like Pontaq and Magnifiq; as well as angel networks like TCA, JITO Angels and Native Angel Network (NAN), apart from other HNI investors.
